Years ago, Hovik Vardumyan managed to record all the important episodes of the struggle for the existence of Artsakh, and now those notes have become the basis of the novel's theme. The novel records the chronicle documentary description of one of the most important phases of Armenian history. The novel revolves around the biography of a detachment named "Sword and Cross," which is related not only to the struggle for existence of Artsakh, but also the battle between the good and evil forces.

Fiction, documentary evidence, and mysticism are intertwined in the novel. Parallel with the events developing around the birth of the Mysterious Child, the author narrates the history of the heroic battle of Artsakh. The book is published under the patronage of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
