The reader is intended for 12-16 year old students (as well as interested adults) of general education or Sunday schools in the Diaspora with Western Armenian instruction. The main and additional texts of the lessons give students a sufficient idea of Armenia, a number of notable episodes of its past and present, major historical figures, etc. The questions related to the lessons are designed to simultaneously develop the speech and thought of the students.
The textbook has important grammatical tables, the exercises to be performed in accordance with which should improve students' speech. "Advice to the Teacher" is attached to the reader, which contains appropriate methodological advice.
