Lerr Kamsar / Feuilletons / The Assembly of Animals (Vol. 1)
7700 AMD
- Code1271
The collection The Assembly of Animals includes works by Ler Kamsar that vividly reflect his response to the social, educational, economic, and political transformations that took place in Van, later in the Republic of Armenia, Soviet Armenia, and across the world. His feuilletons, written with keen observational precision, possess not only artistic value but also serve as unique historical documents of the era.
The works that have survived to the present day have mostly been preserved in typescripts made by newspaper staff members, which occasionally contain errors caused by the translation from Western to Eastern Armenian. Despite the absence of several important feuilletons, including the 1910 piece Kamsarian Geography, the collection presents a significant portion of the writer’s legacy.
This publication is intended for a wide audience—from literature enthusiasts to those interested in history and satire.
