This monograph is the result of the author’s prolonged and painstaking work. Drawing on multilingual and voluminous literature, periodical press, and especially newly declassified archival documents that until recently had been sealed and dormant in archives, the author presents a complete political history of the Armenian Kingdom of Kars and later of the Kars Province. It is unique in its kind.

In preparing this work, the author set himself a primary objective: to respond scientifically to Turkish and, to some extent, Georgian falsifiers who claim that Kars has either been Turkish or Georgian. Kars, Ardahan, Surmalu, and Igdır were Armenian, remain Armenian, and will forever remain Armenian. Special attention has been given to the history of the 1921 Moscow and Kars treaties, and it has been proven that these agreements are illegal. The time has come to annul them and return the land to its rightful owner—Mother Armenia, the Republic of Armenia. The second, third, and fourth sections of this work contain multilingual documents of great importance for today.
